About This Role
The New Grad RN Resident in the Emergency Department at Cleveland Clinic is an excellent opportunity for recent nursing graduates to begin a career in a supportive environment. This role involves delivering exceptional patient care while participating in a comprehensive Nurse Residency program.
Highlights- Pay: $35.50 - $55.60/hour
- Location: Garfield Heights, OH
- Facility: Marymount Hospital
- Department/Unit: Emergency Department
- Schedule: Full-time, Night shift
- Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
- Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
- Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care.
- Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate corrective actions.
- Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
- Document in patients’ medical records.
- Education:
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience:
- New grad or less than one year of RN work experience.
- If experienced, must have less than one year of current acute direct patient care RN experience.
- Licenses &
Certifications:- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLs) certification required.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) upon hire or within 24 months.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within one year of hire.
- Professional growth through a one-year, accredited Nurse Residency program.
- RN Loan Repayment program to assist with student debt.
