Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications

This position implements the installation, maintenance, treatment, measurement, and documentation of research field plots of a large, regional, forestry field research program from Virginia to Florida to East Texas. The individual follows study work plans and established protocols in executing tasks, works as part of a crew and independently, solves problems regarding scheduling, safety, quality, and methods, contributes to improvement in work processes, and interprets results for reasonableness, accuracy, and process quality, making modifications as warranted.
