Salary
Starting salary: $50,460 - $97,087 per year
Pay Progression- 1st Year: $50,460-$65,599
- 2nd Year: $61,722-$80,243
- 3rd Year: $74,678-$97,087

Position OverviewThis position is a Budget Analyst and is part of the Army Fellows Program, a two-year fellowship as a federal civilian. The Army Fellows Program hires fellows as permanent, full‑time employees with full pay and benefits. Guaranteed placement is offered after the fellowship for those who meet requirements.
Responsibilities- Assist in developing, recommending, and implementing budgetary and financial policies.
- Assist in coordinating budget reviews and formulating a variety of fund types.
- Assist in analyzing, interpreting, and reviewing budget regulations.
- Assist in monitoring the obligation and expenditure of funds.
- Monitor and certify availability of budget levels to ensure legal and efficient use of funding.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
To be eligible, you must meet the definition of recent graduate as defined below.
Basic requirement for a Budget Analyst:
- Specialized experience:
One year of specialized experience that includes assisting with budget line items, assisting in budget formulation, assisting in monitoring the expenditure of funds, or assisting in generating budgetary reports. - OR
Education:
One full year of graduate level education (or will have completed one full year by May 2026) in a field that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work, such as business, public administration, political science, law, data analytics, management science, mathematics, operations research, economics, statistics, government, international affairs, or administration/management of any sort.
