ASME Planner – Electrical (Nuclear Planning)

Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced ASME Planner to support electrical planning activities within a nuclear facility. This role involves conducting walkdowns, preparing detailed technical planning documentation, and ensuring compliance with ASME standards and nuclear safety and quality requirements
. The ideal candidate will have strong nuclear planning experience and the ability to coordinate office-based planning tasks with field walkdown activities.
- Conduct plant walkdowns to support electrical planning activities.
- Develop and maintain detailed nuclear planning documentation in compliance with ASME standards.
- Coordinate planning activities with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams.
- Ensure all planning work adheres to nuclear safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
. - Prepare, review, and update planning documentation to support nuclear project execution.
- Support work package development, scheduling, and resource planning for electrical systems.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to resolve planning or documentation issues.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical, or related discipline preferred (not required).
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in ASME standards planning
, preferably in a nuclear environment. - Prior experience in nuclear electrical planning strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with nuclear safety regulations, procedures, and quality standards
.
- 5+ years of experience in ASME standards planning
- Skills & Expertise:
- Strong understanding of ASME standards in a nuclear setting.
- Ability to conduct detailed plant walkdowns and translate findings into actionable plans.
- Proficiency with planning software and technical documentation tools.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working across multi-disciplinary teams.
