Overview

Memorial Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Maintenance Worker to perform building and system maintenance, ensuring safety, functionality, and cleanliness of hospital facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and repair work to ensure the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of hospital buildings and systems.
  • Support daily plant operations and contribute to regulatory compliance and facility improvements.
  • Report daily to the Director of Plant Operations regarding facility conditions and the progress of assigned tasks.
  • Support the implementation of quality and productivity standards for equipment and building maintenance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to schedule work, establish priorities, and coordinate materials and supplies.
  • Perform maintenance repairs, remodeling, minor construction, and equipment installations.
  • Assist with facility fire and safety inspections and implement safety protocols in coordination with the Safety and Security Departments.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative departments for facility support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience; hospital setting preferred.
  • Must be able to operate independently and handle a variety of building systems and equipment.
  • Familiarity with Joint Commission standards and regulatory compliance preferred.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
