Job Summary
The Security Guard is responsible for promoting and maintaining a secure campus environment. They provide for the safety and welfare of students, faculty, and staff on the campus by monitoring, maintaining, and enforcing the rules, regulations, and policies of the institution.
Key Responsibilities- Monitors and maintains campus safety.
- Supports the Evening Manager On Duty for evening classes.
- Provides escort for students, faculty, and staff upon request.
- Conducts scheduled foot patrols of the institution’s interior.
- Conducts scheduled foot patrols of the building’s exterior, including parking lots and less traveled areas of the campus.
- Enforces institution rules, regulations, policies, and procedures about students, faculty, staff, and visitors while on school property.
- Prepares written reports, such as daily logs and incident reports, relating to security and safety matters.
- Monitors and maintains security cameras and equipment.
- Supports campus monitoring of identification cards for students, faculty, and staff.
- Complies with all State, Department of Education and accreditation regulations.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
- High School or GED equivalent.
- 1 year of experience in law enforcement or a related field.
- Must pass a background check.
- Associate’s Degree in law enforcement, criminal justice, or a similar field.
- 3 years of experience as a security guard.
