Are you passionate about supporting young people with SEND and SEMH needs to achieve their full potential? Are you experienced working with students across Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5? This is a full-time Secondary Teaching Assistant role with the potential to secure a permanent position.

Teacher Active is working with a secondary school in Bristol that is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment. The school promotes positive relationships, high expectations and a nurturing approach, ensuring every young person is given the opportunity to succeed both academically and personally. The role is full-time and long-term from September, with potential for permanent appointment for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Support students across Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5, including those with SEND and SEMH needs, working closely with teaching staff to deliver classroom support.
• Promote student engagement and help learners overcome barriers to learning.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND and SEMH needs
• Experience working within a secondary school or educational setting
• Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, patient and resilient approach
• A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential
