Position OverviewGTI is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Quality Engineer to support and enhance our ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) while ensuring product quality, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and improving quality processes across manufacturing and production operations.
The Quality Engineer will apply risk-based thinking, lead Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA), analyze quality data, and collaborate cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce risk, improve efficiency, and protect the GTI brand.
Key Responsibilities- Support and maintain the effectiveness of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).
- Monitor, analyze, and improve production and quality processes using data-driven methodologies.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and trend reports to support operational reviews and management reporting.
- Conduct risk assessments using tools such as PFMEA, control plans, and risk registers.
- Develop and maintain Quality Plans and quality control strategies based on customer and regulatory requirements.
- Lead Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA) and verify effectiveness of implemented solutions.
- Support defect prevention initiatives through standardization, training, process validation, and built-in quality methods.
- Perform and support inspections, testing, monitoring, and verification activities to ensure product conformity.
- Participate in MRB activities, nonconformance investigations, and rework verification processes.
- Support internal audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain accurate quality documentation and records to ensure traceability and audit readiness.
- Escalate quality risks, compliance concerns, and systemic issues to Quality leadership when necessary.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Safety, and Program teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, or related industrial environment.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Experience with RCCA methodologies and quality tools such as PFMEA, Control Plans, 5 Why, Fishbone, and SPC.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using quality metrics and data analysis.
Experience supporting audits, inspections, and nonconformance processes. - Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality reporting systems.

$74,000 - $110,000 a year
