Overview

Texas Oncology is looking for a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at the Granbury, TX location. This full‑time position (Mon‑Fri, 8:30 am‑5 pm) requires two travel days per week to Weatherford (Mon & Wed) with occasional float to Cleburne. The role supports patient care in a community oncology setting, fostering relationships and improving patient outcomes.

Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) Role

Under general supervision, the RN provides professional nursing care following national and company standards, supporting quality initiatives and the US Oncology Compliance Program.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards.
  • Assess health status by interviewing patients about current status and medical history.
  • Evaluate patient/family needs and provide teaching and instructional materials.
  • Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
  • Facilitate clinical operations and patient care.
  • Manage patient medication refill requests from pharmacy telephone line and record information in chart.
  • Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre‑testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals, and future appointments.
  • Triage patient phone calls as needed and document relevant information in chart.
  • Facilitate communication between patient/family and interdisciplinary team and coordinate related services.
  • Assist patients in locating available community resources.
  • Collaborate with LPNs/LVNs and medical assistants.
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
  • Willing to consider entry, mid, or senior level candidates.
  • Current RN state license in practicing state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Physical Requirements

Requires full range of motion, handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, eye‑hand coordination, standing and walking for extensive periods, occasional lifting of items up to 40 lb., and corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
