Focus on large‑scale water and wastewater infrastructure projects, delivering projects through design, construction, and startup phases as a technical specialist or lead. Involved in detailed design, cost estimation, contract documentation, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration. Plays a role in business development and proposal preparation.
- Hands‑on development of reports, technical memos, studies, detailed designs, and specifications.
- Participation in scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration for infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate with internal and external team members on moderately complex projects.
- Assist in identifying key client interests and developing approaches to accommodate them.
- Design projects from concept through completion, meeting client and project manager requirements.
- Assist the Engineering Manager in maintaining project schedules, budgets, and sub‑consultant management.
- Interface directly with clients or sub‑consultants under the Engineering Manager’s direction.
- Support business development through writing technical approaches, scopes of work, and client presentations.
- Apply civil engineering knowledge to complex projects and develop non‑standard design solutions.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to less experienced engineers.
- Communicate effectively with other engineering disciplines and project teams.
- Prepare complex engineering deliverables and calculations.
- Conduct independent evaluation and selection of engineering techniques and criteria.
- Review work and responsibilities of early‑career professionals.
- Oversee data collection, assimilation, and management for engineering work and lead smaller production teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or active pursuit of registration.
- Strong understanding of water and wastewater design (infrastructure, conveyance, pump stations/lift stations).
- Motive and ability to lead portions of complex projects with guidance and mentorship.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program, or its equivalent in the country of practice.
- Minimum of one year related work experience.
- Ability to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements, including background checks and drug screening.
- Professional engineering registration is preferred or in active pursuit.
- Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment.
- Typical office and construction environments, exposure to outdoor conditions and safety hazards.
- Physical requirements:
sitting, walking, standing, lifting or carrying up to 40 pounds, sustained periods of activity.
