Position Summary

The Part Time Sales Associate is responsible for supporting sales performance, delivering exceptional customer experience, and executing day‑to‑day store operations. The Sales Associate supports the team by following customer engagement strategies and maintaining merchandising standards that support a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure excellence in customer service in the store by upholding high retail standards.
  • Initiate conversations with all customers, building a relationship to learn interests and identify products to suggest.
  • Assist customers in the fitting room and recommend products aligned with customer needs and preferences through suggestive selling.
  • Build brand loyalty by promoting the rewards program and achieve weekly loyalty sign‑up goals.
  • Learn about new products and trends to better engage customers.
  • Consistently achieve personal sales targets and contribute to overall store performance.
  • Provide information and advice on product performance, features, and specifications.
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and well‑stocked.
  • Assist in daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, accurately process transactions, handle cash, and maintain point‑of‑sale integrity.
  • Follow all company and store policies, processes, and procedures.
  • React quickly to all customers and/or employee injuries and report immediately.
  • Participate in Loss Prevention Audits and comply with company loss prevention policies.

Position Requirements
  • Minimum age 16 years old.
  • Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and work a flexible schedule.
  • Minimum availability of 12 hours per week, including one weekend day; additional availability is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with customers and team members.
  • Operate office equipment and technology (cash register, computers, phones, scanners).
  • Stand and move throughout the store during scheduled shifts.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally and maneuver full racks of merchandise.
  • Perform manual labor occasionally to assemble displays and rearrange store layout.
  • Accurately read labels, assist customers, and pay attention to detail.
Essential Functions

  • Stand and move, lift and carry, push/pull racks, reach, stretch, bend, stoop, crouch, and assemble displays.
  • Use fine manipulation to sort and organize clothing.
