Software Developer, Software Engineer, Backend Developer

T-Rex Solutions is searching for a Software Developer to join their team supporting the IRS’s IT Applications Development (AD) Data Delivery Services (DDS) organization. You’ll work on a project to transition the IRS’s on-premises data and BI processing to a new cloud-based platform called the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP).

What you’ll do:

-Analyze the IRS’s current BI portfolio and create a plan for migrating it to the EDP.
-Develop and configure software systems to support the data migration and modernization.
-Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance).
-Collaborate with the team on a Proof of Concept to determine the best approach for data migration and refactoring.
-Work effectively with clients and stakeholders.

You’re a great fit if you have:

-2+ years of experience in software development and data modernization projects.
-2+ years of experience using Java and/or Databricks for software development.
-Experience working in an agile development environment.
-Proficient in AWS, Azure, Databricks, SQL, Python, and Java.
-Experience working with clients and delivering projects on tight deadlines.
-A strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Excellent communication and time management skills.

Bonus points for:

-Active IRS security clearance or ability to obtain one.
-Experience with similar government IT projects.

Salary Range: $110,000 – $121,000 per year.
