Skills Needed: Essential requirements:
-Western educated, trained and experienced DON with valid professional registration and license from country of origin; -Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent Nursing Degree not less than 3 years study duration from accredited program; -Master Degree in Nursing, Healthcare, Healthcare Management, Healthcare Administration or related; -Minimum 10 years post-qualification clinical experience in an appropriate and relevant healthcare setting; Nurses who have PhD/ Doctoral Degree will need to have only 7 years of post-graduate experience; -Minimum 3 years of current experience in a DON position or not less than 5 years in a ADON ( Assistant Director of Nursing) position; -Valid BLS and ACLS certifications; Current PALS certification preferred; -Advanced Clinical Specialty -Advanced Clinical Nurse Specialist- CNS – preferred; -PhD Degree in Nursing or Health Services Management preferred; The ideal candidate in order to meet the challenges of this position-in order to develop, implement and supervise all nursing services will need to possess the followings: -Excellent clinical knowledge and skills; -Excellent organizational, management and leadership skills; -Excellent administrative nursing skills along with prioritizing and delegating responsibilities; -Exceptional peoples skills; Great set of social skills-communication and interpersonal skills; -Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills; -Thorough and extensive knowledge of Hospitals’ operating procedures, standards and regulations; -Thorough and extensive knowledge in developing, assessing, evaluating nursing service objectives, clinical policies and procedures and directing the implementation of these objectives and of changes when appropriate; -Passion, Dedication, Respect, Compassion; -Ability to cope in a quick timely manner to different situations; -Great responsibility and accountability; Attention to detail; -Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations; |
