Regulatory Compliance Analyst Overview

The Information Technology (IT) Procurement department seeks a qualified individual to join the team who will be responsible for all compliance‑related matters within the department. This position requires interface with suppliers and end‑users and all levels of management within the company's Information Technology, Cyber Security, Materials Management, Finance, Legal, and Contracts organizations. This is an on‑site position located in Groton, CT.

Clearance Required:

Secret. Shift: 1st.

Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze new regulations that may impact the department's procurement of IT-related hardware and software
  • Keep current on new compliance trends and best practices
  • Develop contract terms and conditions with favorable terms and mitigate risk exposure while aligning with the company's policies
  • Review and negotiate supplier exceptions
  • Track the status of contract lifecycle
  • Provide guidance and support to management, buyers, and end‑users on all aspects of compliance‑related matters
  • Review suppliers to ensure the company can conduct business with them
  • Ad‑hoc projects as may be requested by management from time to time
Qualifications Required
  • A Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 2 years of legal related experience
  • Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance
Preferred
  • Contract negotiation and administration experience
  • Knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and other import/export regulations
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Department of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS)
  • Knowledge of data security and privacy laws and regulations
  • Familiarity with IT‑related hardware and various types of software contracting
Skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to clearly and effectively communicate with all levels of management
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and adjust to changing priorities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze, think critically, identify compliance risks, and determine practical solutions to compliance issues quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to complete all assigned tasks and meet established deadlines
  • Maintain high ethical standards and act with integrity
  • Experience prioritizing and independently managing projects
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (especially track changes feature)
  • Willingness to learn and ability to conduct online research of laws and regulations
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
