Responsibilities:
- Oversee the loading and unloading of catering food, including guiding trucks to and from gates, performing galley audits, assisting with at-risk flights, and protecting D0 performance.
- Monitor and control terminal zones, ensuring guides are responding to guide calls.
- Support flights at risk and ensure catering is completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure drivers update PDA devices and comply with O2P requirements.
- Monitor DCI departures and address FACTS comments.
- Ensure drivers return to the unite promptly and are not idling on the ramp.
- Track catering carts, ensuring drivers complete tasks efficiently.
- Monitor ramp activities and assist drivers with Delay Risk alerts.
- Ensure compliance with PAD catering program (minimum FWD catering) and report hourly PAD catering compliance.
- Escalate catering issues to the tower or DC leadership as needed.
- Always maintain a safe workplace, communicating important information to relevant departments.
- Create and review reports as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Required to fulfill the necessary criteria and acquire a PANYNJ (Port Authority NY/NJ) in accordance with United States Customs and TSA regulations, specifically outlined in 49 CFR §.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the airline industry with leadership experience in a high-volume environment.
- Valid New York State Driver’s License required.
- Strong planning, organizational, and coordination skills.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and excellent communication skills
- Dedication to customer service and attention to detail.
- Problem-solving mindset and effective decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Hands-on approach; able to lift, push, and pull 20–50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in cold environments due to weather conditions.
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively to operational deficiencies.
- Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays based on company operations.
