Electrical Engineer III

As an Electrical Engineer III, you will lead the design, development, and validation of electrical/electronic systems for aerospace and defense projects. You will be responsible for understanding complex circuits, overseeing testing, and ensuring the successful integration of electrical/electronic systems.

Responsibilities:

* Lead the design and development of electrical/electronic systems.

* In some applications, lead development of circuit card assemblies.

* Lead implementation of electrical wiring design practices.

* Oversee the testing and validation of electronic systems and components.

* Perform advanced troubleshooting and debugging of electronic circuits.

* Develop and maintain technical documentation, including designs, test plans, and results.

* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.

* Participate in and lead design reviews, providing expert technical insights.

* Mentor and train junior engineers, fostering technical growth.

* Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes.

Qualifications You Must Have:

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

* 6+ years of experience in electrical engineering or a related role.

* Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.

* Advanced proficiency in electrical/electronic design and validation techniques.

* Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices.

* Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools.

* Progressive experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.

* Exposure to electrical/electronic system federal rules and regulations, including Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) requirements.

* Exposure to electrical/electronic Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and System Safety Assessment (SSA) concepts.

Qualifications We Prefer:

* Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field.

* Extensive experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for electrical applications.

* Strong understanding of aerospace and defense industry standards and practices.

* Exposure to simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis.

* Experience composing an Electrical Load Analysis (ELA).

* Experience with circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis.

* Knowledge of industry-standard electrical design principles, to include, but not limited to model-based definition, electrical component selection, manufacturing, and production processes.

* Familiarity with Effects (EME) to include Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI).

* Familiarity with design requirements related to High Intensity Radiated Field (HIRF) and Indirect Effects of Lightning (IEL).

* Experience in digital or analog circuit design and schematic capture.

* Understanding of the printed circuit board layout process and tools.
