Watkins Distributing is a family owned and operated beverage distribution company that has serviced Idaho and Montana for four generations.
Job Summary:
The Sales Representative will oversee the company's beverage sales activities within a defined territory.
This sales route is located in Bellevue, Hailey, and Ketchum.
Salary depends on experience.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow beverage sales within an assigned territory by maintaining and developing customer accounts
- Promote and sell the company's full portfolio of products to new and existing customers
- Identify and establish new business opportunities and open new accounts
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and ensure proper product placement and availability at accounts
- Build, stock, and maintain displays, coolers, and point-of-sale materials in accordance with company standards
- Utilize mobile devices and company systems to enter orders, track inventory, take surveys, and manage account information accurately
- Use manual equipment such as hand trucks to transport and stock products
- Safely handle beverage products, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling cases and kegs
- Rotate product and ensure freshness and quality standards are maintained
- Communicate regularly with customers to maintain relationships and resolve service or product issues
- Execute sales plans, promotions, and merchandising initiatives as directed
- Maintain product knowledge and stay informed on market trends and new products
- Comply with all alcohol laws, company policies, and safety standards
- Adhere to all company safety policies and proper lifting techniques at all times
- Perform all duties in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner in accordance with established sales and productivity expectations
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Proven beverage sales experience preferred.
- In-depth product and industry knowledge, with a dedication to continuous improvement.
- Self-motivated, with demonstrated leadership and professionalism.
- Quick-thinking and adaptable-able to resolve challenges effectively.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record with no major violations.
- Must be able to lift, move, and merchandise cases ranging from 20- 30 lbs. regularly. Tasks include bending, squatting, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
- Work independently across multiple retail locations, traveling between accounts throughout the day.
