Join Dalhousie University as a part-time academic for Fall 2026, teaching the HIST 3600 course focusing on Social Justice in the United States. Explore historical resistance movements with engaged learners.
In this teaching role, you will cover all aspects of the course from September to December 2026. Monday evening classes require your dedication, as well as being available for student consultations weekly. Reporting to the Chair of the History Department, you will contribute significantly to the educational experience of students from diverse backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct lectures for HIST 3600 topics
• Assess student work and provide timely feedback
• Hold consultation hours for student support
• Collaborate with department leadership for course management
• Promote an equitable and diverse learning atmosphere
Requirements:
• Doctorate in History or relevant field
• Teaching experience in law and justice topics appreciated
• Subject to student enrollment and university approval
• Understanding of intersectional community dynamics
• Commitment to diversity and inclusive practices
