Our  Mechanical Technologists & Engineers are a critical component of the Fleetway Engineering teamthat develop 3D models, drawings and technical studies, as well as ensure thecompletion of engineering change proposals and systems integration projects forgovernment and commercial vessels. They are respected in the industrythrough their proven hands-on experience in marine engineering environments andtheir ability to provide solutions to client engineering design challenges.

Qualifications& Skills:

  • EducationRequired: Engineering Technology Diploma (Mechanical/Marine EngineeringSystems) from a Post-Secondary Institution
  • Yearsof Experience Required: 5-8+ years proven hands-on experience in 2D drafting,3D modeling and engineering design/integration projects
  • Backgroundin marine systems required
  • Proficientin Microstation and/or AutoCAD or S3D
  • Proficientin MS Office Suite - including intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Experiencein Naval Warship design is an asset
  • Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian governmentsecurity clearances (5+ years searchable Canadian history)
  • KeyResponsibilities & Outcomes:

  • Developing3D models and 2D drawings of ship equipment and systems
  • Developingtechnical studies, drawings, surveys and specifications for government andcommercial vessels
  • Performingengineering design for auxiliary systems
  • Incorporatingengineering changes into existing designs
  • Workingon systems integration projects
