Join Irving Shipbuilding as a Quality Control Inspector focusing on Steel, to ensure high-quality standards in shipbuilding. Collaborate to verify code compliance and maintain ISO standards.
In this full-time role, the Quality Control Inspector is responsible for surveying steel and hull systems in alignment with safety and quality standards. You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to secure necessary approvals for project milestones and ensure project completion aligns with quality specifications. The position demands keen oversight of processes to foster a proactive 'first time right' approach and efficiently manage NCRs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect all works to ensure specification compliance
• Communicate with stakeholders for project satisfaction
• Incorporate critical hold points in production
• Verify activity completion according to reports
• Perform inspections ensuring safety and cleanliness
Requirements:
• Valid Red Seal Trade Certification or equivalent
• 3-5 years relevant quality inspection experience
• Experience in marine settings preferred
• Proficient in MS Office and Share Point
• Excellent conflict management skills
