Job Description
Senior Water and Wastewater/Municipal Project Manager for Kleinfelder’s Water Team serving Eastern Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey. The role requires strong client engagement, technical and commercial acumen, and the ability to manage complex, multidisciplinary water/wastewater projects in both public and private sectors.
The position can be based in Hamilton, NJ;
New Providence, NJ;
Allentown, PA; or Philadelphia (Exton), PA, and may operate in a hybrid mode with required regional travel. The successful candidate reports to the Area Water Operations Manager and will develop and nurture client relationships while supporting project delivery and business development.
- Support proposal efforts at all levels, develop client/project capture plans, and present proposals.
- Build strong relationships and interact regularly with key clients, teaming partners, and stakeholders.
- Ensure client satisfaction and collaborate with project delivery personnel to proactively address service issues.
- Engage in industry groups; participate in committees and/or board governance.
- Reinforce collaboration, client focus, excellence, innovation, and positive morale.
- Maintain CRM activities and data.
- Provide input on business development priorities, budget, and expenditures.
- Manage projects and technical task teams for work delivery.
- Identify and mitigate risks and commercial terms during the project lifecycle.
- 5+ years of high‑level client management experience; 10‑15 years of total professional and project management experience in a consulting engineering firm or related service.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering or related field;
Master’s degree preferred. - Professional registration (PE) in New Jersey and ability to obtain licenses in PA, NY, and other states if requested.
- Proven business development and project management experience in water/wastewater/municipal infrastructure with design consulting firms.
- Business acumen in project management, portfolio financials, and risk management.
- Experience with Deltek or similar CRM software.
Salary range: $116,000 - $197,000.
