Seasonal Laborer – Aqua New Jersey
An opportunity for a full‑time seasonal laborer from May through August. The position requires performing grounds keeping, hydrant painting, and assisting with cleanup and custodial needs while interacting professionally with the public.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and paint fire hydrants throughout an assigned territory.
- Perform routine facility housekeeping maintenance, including grounds keeping and custodial duties as assigned.
- Adhere to all safety and security operating policies, procedures, practices, and standards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with other tasks or projects as assigned.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Familiarity with computers and work systems such as Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills—communicate effectively (clearly, concisely, and professionally) with customers and internal staff.
- Strong customer‑service skills.
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedules.
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time, weather permitting.
- Must always follow directions and implement safety procedures.
- Team player able to work effectively in a multi‑tasking team environment.
- May be subject to extreme temperatures, noise, wet and/or humid conditions, mechanical, electrical, gas exposure hazards, fumes, dust, and mists.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Work may require travel to service sites of Essential Utilities and/or other entities.
$16.00 per hour.
