Position Summary
The Engineering Co‑Op will work under the supervision of the Engineering and Quality Manager to support the development and implementation of engineering documentation and manufacturing processes. This role provides hands‑on experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, offering exposure to real‑world engineering applications and problem‑solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and revise 3D models and 2D drawings using Creo CAD software
- Develop and update work instructions and technical documentation
- Support engineering and management teams in daily operational tasks
- Utilize tools such as Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze, and interpret data
- Assist with troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment
- Ensure compliance with plant safety, ergonomic, and environmental standards
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering
- Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with 3D/2D CAD software (Creo preferred)
- Prior internship or co‑op experience
- Hands‑on mechanical aptitude or experience in a technical environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform tasks requiring a full range of motion, including bending, squatting, and reaching
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
