Position: Security Officer Unarmed Perimeter Patrol – Hammond, IN

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.57 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
• Sun 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or supervisors.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouse areas, trailer yards, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential hazards.
• Monitor access points for employees, visitors, and delivery drivers, verifying credentials, directing traffic flow, and reporting unauthorized activity according to site procedures.
• Support loss prevention and operational continuity efforts by observing package handling areas, vehicle movement, and high‑traffic zones, and communicating security‑related issues in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
