Job Summary:
The Fall Manufacturing Engineer Co-op will assist the Manufacturing Engineering Department with production activities. Primary work involves using Solid Works CAD software to design tools and fixtures for manufacturing.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Education:
Student enrolled in a four-year degree program, majoring in Engineering who has completed their freshman year of college.
* Experience:
Working knowledge of Solid Works or other CAD software.
* Must be willing to work 3 or more rotating semesters.
Other functions include:
* Tooling and production method development
* Material storage analysis and improvement
* Collection and analysis of labor / machinery productivity and efficiency data
* Machine tool set up reduction
Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and techniques.
* Experience in or knowledge of metal cutting
* Experience in or knowledge of metal cutting processes / machinery.
