Elementary Teacher; K-5

Saint Mary Star of the Sea School in Hampton, VA is currently hiring an Elementary Teacher (K‑5) who is an enthusiastic role model passionate about sharing the Catholic faith and supporting the mission of Saint Mary Star of the Sea Catholic School. The teacher will guide student development and formation per the school's mission and vision with compassion, understanding, and respect.

• The teacher is responsible for supporting student success by planning, preparing, and delivering lesson plans using instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
• The teacher will also develop schemes of work and assessments that align with the Consensus Curriculum and school expectations.
• The teacher will instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.

• Bachelor’s Degree and current Commonwealth of Virginia Teaching License
• Possess a strong commitment to Catholic education
• Superior communication skills both written and spoken
• Superior interpersonal, organizational, and managerial skills
• Enthusiasm, positive attitude, flexibility, and hardworking
• Collaborative team player
• Light physical effort required
• Regularly required to sit or stand for extended periods, walk, reach, bend, lift, listen, talk, and perform computer key boarding.

Full‑time, exempt (10‑month position).
