Quality Manager
Job Description
The Quality Manager provides leadership and coordinates strategic business initiatives to drive process improvement across the organization, achieving an excellent operational environment. This is accomplished through the application of knowledge in quality systems, disciplined adherence to robust processes, and the standardization of best practices. The Quality Manager manages a cohesive set of key performance metrics to provide an objective perspective on the health and effectiveness of the business operating system, and fosters proactive engagement and productive relationships with customers.
Responsibilities
* Develop, maintain, and implement quality systems procedures and work instructions in compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
* Lead corrective and preventive action initiatives.
* Standardize metrics and best practices.
* Lead internal and external audit programs.
* Drive advanced product quality planning processes and translate requirements to the operator level.
* Act as a customer advocate and voice of the customer.
* Lead process improvement initiatives focused on reducing the cost of poor quality and eliminating material review concessions and escapes.
* Ensure quality system metrics and key process indicators are maintained and used for continuous improvement.
* Identify, control, and mitigate risks in systems, processes, and products.
* Demonstrate high ethical standards and a strong initiative for high performance.
* Prioritize and delegate responsibility while maintaining accountability.
* Develop and maintain relationships internally and externally for leadership engagement and customer connections.
Essential Skills
* Practical understanding of core processes for problem analysis and communication.
* Ability to develop quality processes that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
* Experience in ISO 9000 and/or AS9100, Statistical Tools and Techniques, NDE, APQP, and Measurement System Analysis.
* Strong leadership skills including strategic thinking and change management.
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or finance from an accredited institution.
* Minimum of 7 years leading a quality department or team.
* Minimum of 10 years working in a manufacturing environment.
* Minimum of 5 years auditing experience in an ISO 9001/AS9100 environment.
* Must pass a vision exam utilizing the Tumbling E Chart Per ISO.
Additional
Skills & Qualifications
* Master's degree from an accredited institution preferred.
* Manager of Quality / Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) or Quality Engineer (CQE) designation preferred.
* General Auditor (Internal) experience with four audits (20 audit days) in the past three years.
* Aerospace Auditor (Third Party) experience with four years in the aerospace industry within the past ten years or RAB Lead Auditor certification is a plus.
Work Environment
The position is on-site, Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, primarily behind a desk. The work involves managing quality systems and processes in a manufacturing environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
