Warehouse Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods.
• Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee performance.
• Organize and maintain inventory and storage areas.
• Ensure shipments and inventory transactions are accurate.
• Communicate job expectations and coach employees.
• Determine staffing levels and assign workload.
• Interface with customers to answer questions or solve problems.
• Maintain item records, document necessary information, and use reports to project warehouse status.
• Identify areas of improvement and establish or adjust work procedures and practices.
• Confer and coordinate activities with other departments.
• Focus on continuous improvement and assist in implementing improvements aimed at cost, quality, delivery, and morale.
• Ensure the safe operation of equipment and that all team members use appropriate safety equipment.
• Coordinate work assignments to meet customer schedules.
• Train employees as required to assure timely delivery of quality products, including training in safe equipment operation, housekeeping, and quality activities.
• Assure adherence to quality standards.
• Perform required production assignments when employees are absent.
• Ensure 100% on-time delivery to schedules through process knowledge, constraint theory, up‑time management, and capacity planning.
• Assure continuous productivity improvement by effectively utilizing team members and applying waste elimination and throughput enhancement principles.
• Build an effective team, skilled in interviewing, hiring, disciplining, and releasing employees when necessary.
• Make capable decisions.
• Understand and implement the integration of distribution software.
• Solve problems using tools such as the 8‑D process or other industry‑acceptable techniques.
• Be effective in organizing and planning.

Salary Range: $62,000 - $85,250
