Roto-Rooter South Texas is seeking a highly detail-oriented Accounting Clerk with a background in Accounting, Finance, or Financial Services. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills and an eye for identifying discrepancies, unusual spending trends, and financial inconsistencies.

• Audit and review Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions for accuracy
• Analyze financial reports, spending trends, invoices, and account activity
• Identify discrepancies, duplicate charges, incorrect postings, or unusual expenses
• Assist management in reviewing operational spending and financial performance
• Support internal auditing processes and financial accountability initiatives
• Train to assist with payroll auditing and payroll verification processes
• Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation
• Work closely with management to improve financial controls and reporting accuracy

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Financial Services, or related field preferred
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Advanced attention to detail with strong analytical and investigative skills
• Experience with AP/AR review, reconciliations, or financial analysis preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems
• Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
