This is an exciting opportunity to join a very busy Hereford & Worcestershire Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service requiring flexibility, problem solving skills and a desire to make a difference. This is a multidisciplinary team consisting of Consultant Child psychiatrists, RMNs, psychologists and Family Therapists. You will be part of the eating disorder service, inputting into clinical pathways and supporting Children and Young People experiencing aneating disorder whilst providing specialist advice and consultation on systemic formulations and practice to CAMHS colleagues.
The post holder will be a qualified systemic Family therapist,providing specialist systemic psychotherapy services to children, young peopleand their families and consultation to the professional network bringing asystemic perspective to all aspects of the work. You will have a proven abilityto liaise and work in collaboration with other relevant agencies according tothe needs of the young person.
This isfull time post, but we would consider applicants looking for part time.
Main duties of the jobIdentify, analyse, and interpret complex clinical facts.
Use well developed interpersonal andcommunication skills to communicate highly sensitive information and potentially distressing decisions to clients and colleagues in contexts of challenging behaviour.
Work autonomously and as a member of the multidisciplinary team providing generic and specialist systemic psychotherapy assessments, therapy, care planning and interventions.
Provide specialist advice and consultation on systemic formulations and practice to CAMHS colleagues and in family therapy teamwork with own workplace.
Represent Family Therapy at strategic level meetings within and across agencies on issues relating tofamily therapy.
Take responsibility for initiating and coordinating the work programme for the Family Therapy Clinic within own workplace.
Contribute to clinical teams, both multidisciplinary and undiscipline through the development of appropriate and collaborative care plans.

Job responsibilitiesProvide specialist mental health and specialist systemic psychotherapy
and family therapy services to the CAMHS Eating Disorder Service,
participating fully inthe work of the multi-disciplinary team and bringing
a systemic perspective and expertise to all aspects of this work
Provide specialist systemic assessments of clients and their families
referred to the service based upon the appropriate use of specialist
clinical skills with clients, family members and others involved in the
clients care
Be responsible for implementing a range of systemic psychotherapeutic
interventions for individuals, carers, families, adjusting and refining
systemic formulations as appropriate and drawing upon a wide range of
models,approaches and techniques within systemic practice and
maintaining a number of provisional hypotheses
Attend team MDT, formulation, clinical supervision; provide specialist
systemic consultation
Support our new ED-ISH Intensive home visiting service within
CEDS.
