Job Summary:
The Emergency Room Nurse Manager oversees daily operations and staffing in the Emergency Department, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care. This role focuses on improving patient safety, clinical outcomes, and maintaining the department's standards of care through strong leadership and clinical expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee Emergency Room staffing and daily operations.
- Implement evidence-based practices to improve patient safety and outcomes.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to staff nurses.
- Conduct skill checks and performance evaluations.
- Address patient, visitor, and physician complaints promptly.
- Manage recruitment, hiring, and training of new staff.
- Support continuous improvement of care delivery.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.
- Monitor department performance and work towards unit goals.
- Resolve operational and clinical challenges.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and patient satisfaction.
- Current RN licensure
-Tennessee or a compact state. - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required;
Master's Degree preferred. - 1-3 years of clinical leadership experience required.
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience required.
- BCLS certification .
