Qualifications and

Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching license for the state of Mississippi (or eligibility for reciprocity)
• Proven experience working with students who have mild to moderate disabilities
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Ability to deliver differentiated instruction tailored to individual learning styles
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
• Proficient at maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports
• Experience with inclusive classroom models and various teaching methodologies is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and modify Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to meet students' unique needs
• Support and instruct students in both individual and small group settings
• Monitor and track student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to foster student success
• Create a positive, structured, and respectful classroom environment
• Attend meetings, trainings, and professional development activities as required
