Strategic BD Account Manager, DoD 4th Estate Defense Agencies

Job Summary

AWS is looking for a Strategic Business Development Account Manager to lead engagement with the 4th Estate Defense Agencies, providing trusted advisory and driving cloud transformation across the Department of War.

• Serve as key advisor to the 4th Estate Defense Agency Senior Sales Manager, driving overall AWS strategy and execution within the Defense Agency market.
• Engage directly with DoW CIO and senior leaders on IT modernization strategies.
• Define and execute strategic market development plans, identify cross‑organizational opportunities, partner with internal stakeholders.
• Define and size total addressable opportunity across DoW customer space; engage key customers, ISVs, and SIs.
• Build and support the business development pipeline by engaging prospects and industry partners.
• Understand technical requirements of customers and work closely with internal teams to guide product offerings.
• Present business reviews to senior management regarding progress, roadblocks, and strategic recommendations.
• Manage a high volume of engagements and customer interactions in a fast‑paced cloud market.

• 7+ years of technical sales or solution‑sales experience in B2B environments.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience in strategy development and executing strategic market plans.
• Current, active Top Secret or higher US Government Security Clearance.

• AWS Certification (Cloud Technologist, Solutions Architect, Sys Ops Administrator, Developer).
• Knowledge of cloud computing, generative AI, satellite, and edge computing technologies.
• Experience in complex IT environments and DoW acquisition processes.
• Established relationships within 4th Estate Defense Agencies.
