Advanced Security System Engineering Specialist, ASSET

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Security Services Specialist to join our Infrastructure Operations team.

As a Security Services Specialist, you will drive operational security excellence within data centers, working with partner teams and leaders. You will manage communications, provide support, improve electronic surveillance, configure physical security devices, and extract metrics to observe improvements.

• Manage chat queue, phone communications, generate and/or manage trouble tickets, handle incoming chats, and provide customer support.
• Drive security awareness campaigns aimed at enhancing security vigilance and effectiveness.
• Utilize workflow ticketing and develop performance metrics.
• Configure physical security devices including cameras, readers, and panels.
• Support daily operational security across a data center campus.
• Translate overarching security strategy into daily tactics to reach management goals.

• Experience with physical security best practices, including application of physical security systems, investigation techniques, and management of contract security guards.
• 1+ years' experience in an operations center, control room environment, or technical support.
• 2+ years' experience with intrusion detection (alarm systems) and video monitoring systems (CCTV).

• 2+ years of overseeing security operations and working with security vendors/contractors.

USA, VA, Herndon - $28.00 – $50.00 USD hourly. Base salary range listed above; package includes sign‑on payments and RSUs. Comprehensive benefits include health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
