Field Hockey Assistant CoachMilton Hershey School (MHS) is one of the world’s best pre‑K through 12th grade private schools, where approximately 2,200 students from disadvantaged backgrounds receive a cost‑free home and a top‑notch education. MHS offers varsity, JV, junior high, and recreational teams for 15 sports and intramural programs, with athletic programs beginning in elementary and middle division and culminating in senior varsity level.
The school has produced many successful seasons and champions, and athletes often advance to play at the college level.
- Assist the head coach with organization and administration of the Middle School field hockey program.
- Lead practices and games Monday through Friday from 3:15 pm to 5:30 pm or 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm during the season (August–October).
- Perform off‑season work as required, ensuring flexibility for the program.
- Teach beginner skills and develop athletes across skill levels in a positive, professional manner.
- Part‑time, seasonal (August–October).
- Practice and game times:
Monday–Friday 3:15‑5:30 pm or 4:00‑6:00 pm. - Off‑season work flexible.
Temporary work, one‑year ancillary position.
CompensationStipend: $3,602 - $4,682 per season, based on experience.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- At least 1 year of successful coaching experience or collegiate playing experience.
- Knowledge of current coaching techniques, rules, regulations, and training theory for field hockey.
- Commitment to high achievement and support for all students in a diverse, multicultural environment.
- Ability to teach beginner skills and develop athletes of varying skill levels.
- Experience working with students from disadvantaged backgrounds is preferred.
- Demonstrated skills in providing safe, structured skill development practice and playing experiences.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Integrity and role model behavior.
