Innovate! Inc. is seeking a highly motivated individual to join its geospatial solutions team as a GIS Program Manager
. You may be called upon to assist with the design, development, and maintenance of geospatial applications through the concept, design, and implementation phases. Your role will also include supporting other personnel in utilizing GIS applications and software as well as interfacing with clients and teaming partners.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Ten (10) or more years of total GIS related experience with at least five (5) years relevant, practical experience managing geospatial programs and teams.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

  • Manages program scope, schedule, technical performance, and cost/budget.
  • Develops, maintains, and reports on project plans and schedules.
  • Mentors technical staff and fosters good working environments through knowledgeable, effective, hands‑on technical and management oversight and support.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to plan, organize and manage project schedules, tasks, and deliverables.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Serves as the company's primary contract representative with the government's Contracting Officer and Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
  • Assesses staffing needs and identifies shortfalls; demonstrates strong leadership and interpersonal skills and shows a clear commitment to mentoring subordinates; maintains excellent customer relations.
  • Responsible for leading a team and delivering client solutions.
  • Responsibilities include lifecycle project planning and management, and client communications.

WORK ROLE DESCRIPTION

  • Manages contract support operations for complex, mission‑critical, and strategic programs which may involve multiple projects and groups of personnel at multiple locations.
  • Oversees program budget, schedules, and all aspects of financial management of the program.
  • Effectively manages funds, personnel, production standards, and resources (equipment and facilities) and ensures quality and timely delivery of all contractual items.
  • Serves as the focal point of contract with client regarding all program activities.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's Degree in Geography/GIS, Science, Engineering, Business, or another related field.
