Job Summary:
Responsible for the physical appearance, maintenance, resident coordination, and general safety of the Homeless Shelter.
Qualifications:Experience in general custodial and building/grounds maintenance.
Must be able to pass a DHS Background Check. Regularly lifts 50 lbs., and occasionally more.
Needed Attributes:
Must be comfortable being located with people with multiple and complex issues. Capable of working independently within a team and maintaining professional boundaries.
- Admits shelter residence upon referral.
- Monitors (and takes appropriate action) of shelter activities to ensure safety of the residents.
- Assigns beds and distributes bedding/other supplies
- Informs the resident’s case manager in the event of a concern or problem.
- Maintains data practices in confidence.
- Maintains inventory of property and consumable supplies.
- Performs a variety of custodial and building/grounds tasks.
Part-time Shelter Aide/Youth Foyer Aide position open in Virginia, MN. Position scheduled to work at the AEOA Youth Foyer and Bill''s House.
