Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in SRE principles and practices, with a focus on ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our systems. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a deep understanding of Dev Ops methodologies, particularly in the context of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) pipeline automation.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain robust SRE practices to enhance system reliability and performance.
  • Automate CICD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, and Gradle.
  • Manage and optimize build and deployment processes using Maven and Artifactory.
  • Utilize configuration management tools like Ansible and Puppet to streamline operations.
  • Monitor system performance and reliability using tools such as Splunk, Elastic, Kibana, and Grafana.
  • Implement and manage API gateways using Apigee.
  • Schedule and manage jobs using Auto Sys and Control M.
  • Analyze system metrics and logs to identify and resolve issues proactively.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of applications and services.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for production systems.
Mandatory Skills
  • Strong knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts and practices.
  • Proficiency in Dev Ops tools and methodologies, particularly CICD pipeline automation.
  • Experience with Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, Git, and Git Hub Actions.
  • Familiarity with Sonar Qube and Artifactory for code quality and artifact management.
  • Hands-on experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible and Puppet.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools including Splunk, Elastic, Kibana, and Grafana.
  • Experience with application performance monitoring tools like App Dynamics and New Relic.
  • Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka.
  • Proficient in one or more programming languages:
    Java, JavaScript, Ruby, Python, JSON, Angular, Node.js, .NET/C#.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with cloud platforms and services.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in SRE, Dev Ops, or cloud technologies are a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
