Senior Data Scientist
As a Senior Data Scientist you will become a subject matter expert, defining projects and their execution. You will work closely with other data scientists and engineers to design, develop, and deploy cutting‑edge AI solutions and lead AI and machine learning model development.
Responsibilities- Design, develop and deploy AI solutions with other data scientists and engineers.
- Lead the development of advanced AI and machine learning models to solve complex business problems.
- Analyze large datasets to identify patterns and trends that can inform AI development.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure AI solutions are aligned with business goals and customer needs.
- Evaluate and create new frameworks and define methodologies and governance.
- Mentor junior data scientists and provide guidance on AI and machine learning best practices.
- Work with product leaders to apply data science solutions.
- Lead small‑to‑medium sized teams (direct or indirect).
- Masters level education plus 7‑10 years of work‑related experience, or PhD with 6+ years of experience.
- Advanced or Master's education in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Experience working directly with large language models and transformer‑based architectures such as BERT, RoBERTa, T5, etc.
- Proficiency with big data technologies and tools such as Hadoop, Spark, or AWS.
- Experience and knowledge of applying LLMs including ChatGPT, GPT‑3.5, Claude, Mistral, etc.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, ability to lead and mentor junior data scientists, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
- Proficient experience with machine learning algorithms including deep learning, gradient boosting, and random forests.
- Advanced programming skills in Python, R, or other relevant languages for data analysis.
U.S. national base pay range: $115,400 – $192,300. Geographic differentials may apply to better reflect local market rates. This job is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
