These responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting Project Managers (PMs) and Task Managers (TMs) with planning and performing environmental site characterization, investigation, and remediation tasks.
  • Civil engineering design including land development planning, pipelines, storm water systems, hydraulic modeling/calculations, erosion and sediment control evaluations and layout, and earthwork site design.
  • Assist with developing permit/construction‑level drawings and details, preparing technical specifications, and construction cost evaluation/estimating.
  • Prepare subcontracts and oversee the work of subcontractors.
  • Perform fieldwork focused on health and safety, which may include soil, sediment, surface water and/or groundwater sampling, geotechnical investigations, and construction oversight.
  • Write and prepare technical reports, work plans, letters, and memoranda.
  • Office work may include task coordination, data compilation and interpretation, cost estimates, health & safety plan preparation, report writing, regulatory file reviews, proposal writing, project strategy development, schedule and budget management, and establishment of subcontracts.

The successful candidate will interpret and evaluate field and analytical data to prepare engineering designs, permit applications, and construction documents. Travel and field work are required. Field work includes regional business travel; annual travel within the U.S. may reach up to four weeks at a time, with up to 25% travel in the first two years. Travel expenses are reimbursable.

We expect proficiency in Microsoft Office, excellent writing, strong communication, focus on health and safety, and the ability to work independently on increasingly difficult tasks, as well as team collaboration.
