Truck Driver CDL A - Tri-State Area – Home Every Night

To perform routine skilled work in the operation of motor trucks and light duty motor equipment. The qualified applicant’s job duties are to be performed keeping safety as a primary objective and following established GMP, Safety and Stratas Foods procedures and policies.

• The CDL A Driver is responsible to deliver full trailer loads of 20+ pallets to Stratas Foods customers throughout the Northeast. Driver will deliver to a 250-mile radius, home every night. Minimal handling of product - electric jacks used to move freight. Monday through Friday work week. Occasional weekends.
• Prepares and maintains appropriate paperwork and records related to shipment of deliveries.
• Maintains vehicle and equipment operational records.
• Requires obtaining and exchanging information, referring inquiries to the appropriate source, or responding to questions regarding shipments.
• Knowledge of state laws pertaining to the operation of equipment on highways.

High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent is required.

Must possess a valid CDL Class A New Jersey driver's license.

• 3 – 5 years’ experience operating a tractor trailer.
• Knowledge of the principles of operation of motor equipment (sufficient to detect defective operation)
• Clean driving record - Must have an updated MVR.
• Updated DOT Physical card.
• Able to pass a road test.
• Knowledge of the Northeast Region / Tristate area.
• Knowledge of the food service industry a plus.
• Have the ability to drive either manual or automatic transmissions.
• Ability to drive new updated equipment.
• Starting time varies based on location being delivered.

Sitting for extended periods of time including continuous strenuous activities such as frequent reaching, bending. The employee will also be required to use hands, arms and fingers. Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to communicate (verbal and written).

Base Salary: $49,514 plus bi-weekly incentives listed below:

• PICK UPS $55.00
• LEASE LINE $50.00
• RYDER $50.00
• STOPS $15.00
• TRAILER / YARD MOVES $20.00
• BOTTLES $50.00
• 2ND ROUNDTRIP RATE $90
• 3RD ROUNDTRIP RATE $135
• TRIP MILES OVER 300 – 0.17 PER MILE
