Pension Analyst

Our Pension Analyst works in a team and is responsible for administering pension plans for assigned clients and providing analytical and administrative support to both clients and the team.

• Perform standard pension benefit calculations (retirements, terminations, etc.) in accordance with plan rules and legislative requirements
• Assist in the preparation of year‑end annual pension statement
• Work with pension databases and TELUS Health’s internal software/systems
• Receive and respond to routine plan enquiries and requests from clients
• Collaborate with and support senior team members
• Participate in internal training sessions to build knowledge of industry topics and trends
• Assist with special projects, as required
• Contribute to special projects as needed

• Post‑secondary education (preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science)
• 0–2 years of Defined Benefit or Defined Contribution pension administration experience, including retirement, termination, and death calculations, and experience with multi‑employer pension plans
• Knowledge of Defined Benefit pension plans and provincial pension and tax legislation
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Excellent client service and professional judgment
• Clear communication skills (both verbal and written) and strong organizational abilities
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook); expert‑level Excel skills
• Ability to work collaboratively, take ownership of tasks, and seek support when needed
• Nice to have:
  Excel and/or Access skills
• Bilingualism
