The Janitor is essential to the success of the club, ensuring our members train in a clean, safe, and professional environment. You are responsible for the meticulous upkeep of all gym areas—from the Octagon to the locker rooms—upholding the premium standards of the UFC GYM brand.
Key Responsibilities Facility Cleanliness & Sanitation- Locker Rooms: Clean and disinfect toilets, shower stalls, and changing areas regularly. Restock all paper goods and soap.
- Gym Floor: Wipe down exercise equipment, glass doors, and mirrors. Pick up debris and address spills immediately.
- MMA Areas: Thoroughly clean all specialized areas, including mats, the Octagon, and heavy bags.
- Floors: Sweep, vacuum, and mop all floors, stairwells, and staircases. Shampoo carpets as needed.
- Waste Management: Empty all trash receptacles daily and maintain designated storage areas in good condition.
- Reporting: Immediately notify management of leaks, malfunctioning fixtures, mold, or equipment issues.
- Safety First: Adhere to all safety rules and ensure the proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and materials.
- General Upkeep: Assist with general maintenance of the facility and equipment. Provide the Maintenance Technician with aid when needed to PM machines or perform minor repairs to the facility.
- Positive Presence: Maintain a cheerful and helpful attitude toward all members and staff.
- Responsiveness: Respond to member requests quickly and report any complaints or concerns to management right away.
- Experience: At least 6 months of experience in janitorial or housekeeping services. Background in the hospitality industry is highly recommended.
- Skills: Ability to work quickly and independently with extreme attention to detail regarding cleanliness.
- Communication: Able to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions in English.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Physical: Ability to stand for a full shift and exert up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally to move objects. Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
