Role descriptionArcadis is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Geotechnical Engineer / Certified Project Manager to join the Commonwealth Edison (Com Ed) team as part of the greater Exelon account. The candidate will be responsible for planning and managing geotechnical investigations, performing desktop analysis of soil and rock properties, and preparation of detailed geotechnical investigation reports including recommendations in support of electrical infrastructure construction at Sites within Com Ed territory (generally northern IL).
Roleaccountabilities
As part of our Resilience Environment team, you’ll help improve quality of life. Responsibilities will require interaction with national and global technical project teams so strong written and oral communication skills are vital to this position. This position will demand multi-tasking abilities to work on several projects at once; it is also critical that the candidate can meet (sometimes demanding) schedule expectations.
Qualifications& Experience
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.
- Current Illinois P.E. license or ability to obtain Illinois P.E., license.
- Current Arcadis CPM designation
- 7+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering
- Proficiency with technical report writing
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with client and Arcadis internal client support team.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $79,920-$153,180.
Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
