Role Description
Arcadis is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Geotechnical Engineer / Certified Project Manager to join the Commonwealth Edison (Com Ed) team as part of the greater Exelon account. The candidate will be responsible for planning and managing geotechnical investigations, performing desktop analysis of soil and rock properties, and preparing detailed geotechnical investigation reports including recommendations in support of electrical infrastructure construction at sites within Com Ed territory (generally northern IL).
Responsibilities- Interaction with national and global technical project teams and strong written and oral communication skills.
- Multi‑tasking abilities to work on several projects at once and meet demanding schedule expectations.
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.
- Current Illinois P.E. license or ability to obtain Illinois P.E. license.
- Current Arcadis CPM designation.
- 7+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
- Proficiency with technical report writing.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with client and Arcadis internal client support team.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

- Salary range: $79,920 – $153,180 (actual salaries vary).
