Our client, a leading automotive manufacturer, is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team. As a Quality Engineer, you will be part of the Quality team supporting both customer-facing initiatives and plant operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a hands-on mindset, and the ability to communicate effectively across teams. This is a GROWTH ORIENTED role as Promotion is likely.

Location:
Lakeshore Area West MI
Pay Range: $80-$105K Depending on Experience.
What’s the Job?- Lead customer quality issues using 8D, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Translate customer requirements into internal quality standards and drive execution
- Support launches with APQP, PPAP, and readiness activities
- Partner with production to resolve daily quality issues and improve process capability
- Maintain and improve PFMEA, Control Plans, and quality documentation
- Experience in automotive manufacturing (Tier 1 or Tier 2 preferred)
- Strong knowledge of AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA)
- Proven problem-solving skills in a production environment
- Working knowledge of IATF 16949 standards
- Hands-on, team-oriented approach with strong communication skills
- High-visibility role with direct impact on customer and plant performance
