Data Scientist

Overview

We are actively searching for Data Scientists, located in Hawaii, to support our team. We have varying levels of Data Scientist roles, depending on years of experience and education.

• Perform tasks associated with Big Data Platform management.
• Develop prototype algorithms and refine existing ones.
• Support data visualization and analytics.

• Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years of relevant experience OR Associates degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Machine Learning, Data Science, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related field. Degrees with substantial computational components are considered if accompanied by advanced Math or CS coursework; a Certificate in Data Science from an accredited institution is also acceptable.
• Relevant experience in designing/implementing machine learning, data science, advanced analytical algorithms, programming (Python), statistical analysis (EDA, inference, hypothesis testing), data management (cleaning, transformation), data mining, AI, and/or software engineering. Experience in multiple areas is strongly preferred.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

• Foundations in mathematics, computation, and statistics.
• Data processing skills – curation, description, visualization, workflow, and reproducibility.
• Modeling, inference, and prediction expertise tailored to domain-specific considerations.
• Experience extracting meaning and value from large datasets and communicating principled conclusions.
• Ability to translate mission needs and analytic questions into technical requirements and to advise on technical solutions.

$125,000 - $155,000 USD
