Cardiac Catheterization Specialist Work Hours
Casual Part-Time (Req# ) Usually works Monday through Friday, day shifts with variable start times. Occasionally overtime may be required. May occasionally be required to work before or after regular office hours.

Description of PositionResponsible for care and monitoring of patients before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and other interventional procedures. Applies the nursing process through assessment, planning, implementing, documenting, and evaluating plans of care for assigned patients, following established standards of nursing practice as delineated by the Medical Center. Works collaboratively with physicians and team members within Cardiac Catheterization Services, Imaging, and all other departments to achieve quality patient outcomes.
Qualificationsand Requirements
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Hawaii required. Requires minimum two (2) years RN experience in critical care, cardiology, or emergency services. Certification or one (1) year experience in cardiac catheterization preferred; or any combination of education and experience which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications to perform the essential functions of this position.
Requires current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), with recertification once every two years.
