Job Summary

The Drilled Shaft Inspector will join our Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) project in Honolulu, HI. Tutor Perini Corporation is the general contractor for the HART City Center Guideway and Stations project.
Responsibilities- Inspect drilled shafts and testing procedures to contract specifications.
- Develop a working knowledge of the company quality control program, standards, procedures, codes, and related materials.
- Perform inspections and witness tests applicable to discipline to determine acceptability of work.
- Assist in maintaining work performance records, inspection records, and other related documents; assure correctness of all records.
- Assist in the preparation/implementation of quality-control procedures, such as inspection instructions, control measuring and test equipment.
- Assist in coordinating quality-control inspection schedules with other department schedules.
- Participate in internal and external quality-control audits.
- Perform additional assignments as directed by the supervisor.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
- Five or more years of experience in testing, inspection, supervision or management on large public-works projects.
- Experience as an inspector of drilled shafts for heavy civil or transit projects.
- Active certification for drilled-shaft inspection and a bachelor’s degree (preferred).
- Understanding and experience with contract specifications as they apply to quality control and/or assurance (preferred).
- Experience with Microsoft Office (preferred).
HART City Center Guideway and Stations project in Honolulu, HI. Construction commences in the second half of 2025 and is expected to be substantially completed in 2030.
