Accounting Manager / Senior Accountant
We are seeking an experienced and hands‑on accounting professional to join our team immediately. This role will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, managing the general ledger, accounts payable, payroll support, bank reconciliations, financial reporting, and inventory-related accounting functions.
Responsibilities- Maintain and reconcile the company’s General Ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Process and enter all accounts payable invoices while ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained prior to payment.
- Prepare and issue approved vendor payments through designated payment methods.
- Record and reconcile all cash receipts and disbursements.
- Reconcile bank accounts, cash accounts, credit card payable accounts, and credit card collection accounts.
- Prepare monthly financial statements by the 15th day of the following month.
- Calculate hourly payroll hours worked and prepare payroll information for submission to the payroll processor, subject to management approval.
- Calculate sales commissions and incentive compensation for sales personnel and prepare submissions for payroll processing.
- Audit and verify incoming inventory against invoices and packing documentation, identifying and reporting discrepancies.
- Assist with inventory processes including applying retail labels to inventory items.
- Maintain organized accounting and vendor files to ensure quick and accurate document retrieval.
- Supervise and direct the daily duties of the Sales Order & Inventory Data Clerk.
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership to support financial operations and reporting needs.
- 5+ years of accounting experience with strong general ledger and full-cycle accounting knowledge.
- Experience with accounts payable, reconciliations, payroll support, and financial statement preparation.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Inventory accounting or inventory reconciliation experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
